Action Packed Weekend in Bintan

So happy to spend some bonding and quality time with housemates! NO work to worry about but pure fun  in mind. And we sure did filled our bellies too! All I can say is, a weekend well spent! Bitin pa nga eh. :)

We stayed at Nirwana Beach Club

At Bintan beach (super pino ang sand)

Make way for Jalan Mariam Archers!

Infront the main hotel of Nirwana Gardens

@ the lobby waiting for the coaster, just right after our international buffet dinner

2nd day

Sa pool side naman

Water sports are included in the package like kayak and body boarding

We love Bintan!

Elephant Ride

Must Try!!! Flying Fox! :)

Bowl that ball moments :)

Ulirang Empleyado

Lahat nasa "draft" section. Kaya eto. Kahit nasa kalagitnaan ako ng work e eto ako at nagsusulat. Ayus!

Going back...

Short term memory pa man din ako. Kaya laging fail.

Much better ika nga nung naconfirm ako (naregular). Natuwa lang ako sa mga katagang, "you are very hardworking" at "work well with colleagues". Lol.

That's all. Balik trabaho na muna.

So I'm really running? For real.

2 more days and I'm geared to run the skirts of Singapore. Me and a few of my colleagues had signed up with Sundown Marathon and we're due to run the 10k run. Am I excited? YES! Because this one will happen after the sun goes down and the city lights are up! Well, I can't really say that I'm prepared for this one, I just want to run for the fun of it. Finally! After more than a year, I'm running again. :)

Our Race Kits

Inside it? Sundown Singlet,  Race Bib, After Sports Wipes, L'oreal Refreshing Cleansing Gel,
Garnier for Men Oil Control Charcoal Foam, and Maxifuel's Energy Tab. I'm not an early bird registrant, that's why I paid for $55.

Separately, we bought these combo pack of Maxifuel for our 10k run.
It cost us $20. Let's see if it really helps.

This was our race map at first, but they changed it to the one below.
I prefer the first one though.

For other details of the run, do visit Sundown Marathon

Wish me luck!:) Hope I can run it under an hour. :)

Hiatus Mode... Official.

Just minutes back, finally I decided to detached myself with the outside world. At long last, I got the courage to finally "turn off" myself with FB and Twitter. Well, it's a big thing for me. And I hope I can last more than I can handle. Wish me luck! :) Day1 starts now....

Stirring Strings

I remembered sometime last year, I fervently asked my youngest brother to teach me how to play guitar. Because it dawned on me that I really don't know how to play ANY instrument. So pity me for that. When I was younger (Oh, and I'm pretty much real young then), my mama wish me to learn piano. She even volunteered herself as my mentor. But I declined, mainly because I'm usually busy with school stuffs then. But now, of course, it is one of my piling regrets in life... So as of the moment, I just content myself listening to people who are good at it.... Like these two videos below. Btw, I would love to learn how to play violin too!

Let the HUNGER GAMES begin!

So tomorrow we decided to catch the first playdate of Suzanne Collin's first novel in her The Hunger Games Trilogy. Excited to see how they will portray Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson), tributes of District 12, as they battle out the hunger games.

In case you haven't read the book, here's the trailer of the movie....

I'm missing KL...

Almost 3months had passed, and I feel of wanting to go back and experience again a day or 2 at Bukit Bintang. I want to have a repeat on my hunt down moments of good deals at Berjaya TimeSquare; I want to climb up again those steeps steps of Gombak; Given a chance I'll eat up whatever food I'll encounter at Jalan Alor, swear! Oh, I miss KL!:(

Petronas twin Towers @ Jalan Ampang

Don't go there during Mondays! They're close!

Even without GPS, you can roam around KL, believe me. :)

Experience beauty of KL, high above the grounds.

FYI, KL is at 7th spot for the most visited city by international tourist arrival as of 2010.

I love all colors of 'em! Fireworks!

Recently, just before my 10 days leave exhaust, me,carole and my hs friends paid a visit at MOA and have watched the 3rd Philippine International Pyromusical Competition. And it was just awesome! I love all the colors while they paint the dark night sky. Armed with my humble Olympus VG-110, I tried to capture all of 'em. See below for my sightings that night. :)

An Artsy Afternoon...

As I was browsing my fb account, I come to stumble into a site wherein they feature happenings here in Sg. I have longed for a visit to a museum here and it so happen that there's an open house for NMS (National Museum Singapore) and they're featuring works of art from Europe. So without thinking twice, I made my way to find NMS...

At the front entrance (facing Singapore Management University) of NMS.
It stands out as the national gem in the crown of Singapore's museums. Built in 1887, the neo-classical building is the largest museum in the country.

Gallery guide given out before you enter the exhibit... Musee D'Orsay Paris!

National Museum Singapore is located at 93 Stamford Road

Long queue of art lovers! :)

"Thaulow Family" - Jacques-Emile Blanche

"The Dubourg Family" - Henri Fantin-Latour (1836-1904)

"The Theater Box" - Pierre Bonnard (1867-1947)

My favorite in the exhibit,
"The Young Girl and Death" - Marianne Stokes (1855-1927)

"Summer Night" (i forgot who painted these)

If you're tired looking around, you can hang in here...

You can photograph the timeless pieces too!

All ages of art lovers are so welcome here... love love love!

Feels like you're in Paris too!:)

fancy some H.U.G.?

Earlier today, I managed to bring myself along Orchard Rd as I was in search for HMW (a music shop here in Sg). And amidst the busy streets of Orchard Rd, there are so many gleaming teenagers giving free hugs!!! I bet they are having fun as they randomly ask for a hug from almost everyone that they meet. After giving a quick nice hug, they're giving a sticky red heart for you to put on... Cool!:)

*Cool, isn't it?

*Free hug givers near Ngee Ann City Mall

*They even gave hug to an A&F model

*Hug giver near ION Mall

JUST SO YOU KNOW...  A hug is something that makes a person feel safe or secure, warm and loved. Safety and security is a big part of a hug as they are a part of showing someone comfort through a painful time in their life and showing that you care. Hugs can show other emotions such as happiness and intimacy as well as sadness, comfort and pain. Hugs can help a person with everything. They are so important to people in order to help them through things - especially of the person is upset. The security and love they show are so important.

I'm not sure about it, but is it Koreans who did first "Free Hugs"?
