An Artsy Afternoon...

As I was browsing my fb account, I come to stumble into a site wherein they feature happenings here in Sg. I have longed for a visit to a museum here and it so happen that there's an open house for NMS (National Museum Singapore) and they're featuring works of art from Europe. So without thinking twice, I made my way to find NMS...

At the front entrance (facing Singapore Management University) of NMS.
It stands out as the national gem in the crown of Singapore's museums. Built in 1887, the neo-classical building is the largest museum in the country.

Gallery guide given out before you enter the exhibit... Musee D'Orsay Paris!

National Museum Singapore is located at 93 Stamford Road

Long queue of art lovers! :)

fancy some H.U.G.?

Earlier today, I managed to bring myself along Orchard Rd as I was in search for HMW (a music shop here in Sg). And amidst the busy streets of Orchard Rd, there are so many gleaming teenagers giving free hugs!!! I bet they are having fun as they randomly ask for a hug from almost everyone that they meet. After giving a quick nice hug, they're giving a sticky red heart for you to put on... Cool!:)

*Cool, isn't it?

*Free hug givers near Ngee Ann City Mall

*They even gave hug to an A&F model

*Hug giver near ION Mall

JUST SO YOU KNOW...  A hug is something that makes a person feel safe or secure, warm and loved. Safety and security is a big part of a hug as they are a part of showing someone comfort through a painful time in their life and showing that you care. Hugs can show other emotions such as happiness and intimacy as well as sadness, comfort and pain. Hugs can help a person with everything. They are so important to people in order to help them through things - especially of the person is upset. The security and love they show are so important.

I'm not sure about it, but is it Koreans who did first "Free Hugs"?
