Taklobo Run

Come December 10, there will be a TAKLOBO RUN (vernacular term of Giant Clams) here at SBMA.  It is a part of the implementation of the Subic Bay Integrated Coastal Management 
Plan.

TAKBO PARA SA TAKLOBO is a fund raising campaign for giant clam seeding in SBMA



OBJECTIVES:

- To raise fund for giant clam seeding in Subic Bay
- To increase public awareness in giant clam and marine resource management
- To encourage stakeholders to participate in managing the Subic Bay natural resources

METHODS:

Participants of all ages can register a week before the event through the designated or authorized representative and coordinators and through the SBMA –Ecology Center. A registration fee of fifty pesos (P50) will be collected.

The marathon will be consisting of 3 kilometers and 5 kilometers track starting at the Boardwalk, Waterfront Road SBFZ, at 5:00 in the morning.

Monitoring and control of traffic will be facilitated by the Traffic Unit of the SBMA Law Enforcement Department.

A short program before and after the marathon will be conducted by the Ecology Center. The program will serve as awareness campaign.
